Two weeks prior to release, Forza 3 has apparently been pirated and is available to download from a number of file sharing websites, claims IncGamers.

Reports suggest that the full version of the game is available to download in addition to extra tracks and cars that will be contained on the second disc of the official boxed version.

Piracy is said to cost the industry millions each year and developers continue to work closely to stem the amount of illegal copies being downloaded. Earlier this year, Ubisoft said that is working on a brand new tool for PC that will help to stem the high levels of piracy on its videogames, but has also stated that it needs to make buying the boxed official versions more appealing to gamers.

"We see when we put other things with the product (people) go and buy the game. We need to make sure that the value is better when they buy the box then when they download (the game) from the Internet," said the Ubisoft president.

Perhaps that's why Microsoft packaged Forza 3 with an additional disc, to make it more appealing? It seems that in this case, pirates have just copied that too.

thats a bummer if it's true.

Thieving SKAGS get to play it before us that re honest and prepared to pay for it
Shame that this kind of practice is commonplace. I wouldn't blame games companies for moving towards services like OnLive as a result (though I'd prefer they didn't).
imo its this free advertising that put more and more pirates into these streams…

no one reads about piracy no one will know, then it will only be a very small problem when a handful are doing it .
The thing is lads, pirating on the 360's are DEAD easy compared to pc's. Console contains little to no drm whatsoever, no online activations and no cd keys to play it.

The 360 is also the easiest console to hack this gen. You cant beat piracy. Piracy always wins and no moaning about it wont change it.
They should have used HD-DVD as a main drive or something to make each game take up the dummy space of the HD-DVD, making games too massive to download and far more awkward to burn etc.

Isn't that why I never hear about piracy on the PS3?
