PRESS RELEASE
London, September 8th, 2016 — With the launch of its S.M.A.R.T (Sliding Motion Advanced Rail Tracks) technology-powered throttle, TWCS (Thrustmaster Weapon Control System), Thrustmaster has given pilots the ideal tool to optimize their flights and come out on top in aerial dog fights!
A throttle with perfectly smooth sliding motion and a wide array of features:
The TWCS Throttle harnesses the power of the S.M.A.R.T technology, developed exclusively by Thrustmaster based on a unique system of slide rails. It offers a travel range of 3.2 inch/80 mm with perfectly smooth, high-precision speed control. The S.M.A.R.T mechanism's resistance can also be adjusted to suit your preference.
Ergonomics is an important factor in the design of the new Thrustmaster throttle. For example, the much thinner base means lower wrist height and consequently perfectly controlled and effortless natural arm and hand movements.
In addition to its innovative travel system, the TWCS features five axes on the throttle, one 2-axis mini-stick, one toggle rudder with a 15° angle and mechanical return to neutral as well as a rotary button. Users can also connect the external TFRP Rudder Pedals (sold separately) via their RJ12 connector (for 16-bit throttle axis = 65635 values/all other axes = 1024 values each)
The TWCS is equipped with an impressive number of 14 action buttons: two 4-way buttons + 3 buttons + one 2-position slider + 1 push mini-stick. It is also equipped with one 8-Point of View hat switch. The mini-stick can be used for elevation and strafing in space or for slew control. It can also be used for menu selection and validation. The presence of the rotary wheel allows users to easily validate settings or control radio antenna.
With its two M6 screw threads and four rubber foot pads for perfect stability, this highly precise throttle will fit perfectly on your desk or in a cockpit.
Compatibility with T.A.R.G.E.T and flying Thrustmaster ecosystem:
The TWCS throttle is compatible with the T.A.R.G.E.T. Thrustmaster Advanced pRogramming Graphical EdiTor software. Users can combine it with other peripherals in the Flightsim Thrustmaster ecosystem (which are then recognized as a single USB device), and load or create specific mapping profiles for each game to save time and enhance performance.
- The TWCS Throttle will be available in September 2016 at the suggested retail price of €79.99 (taxes included).
