PRESS RELEASE
Gaming headset with 50mm neodymium-magnet drivers, a forest camouflage livery, plus full PC, Mac, PS4 and smart-device compatibility
Taipei, Taiwan (20 November, 2014) - ASUS today announced the Echelon Forest, a multi-platform gaming headset engineered with powerful 50mm neodymium-magnet drivers, a forest camouflage livery, and full compatibility with PCs, Macs, PlayStation® 4 consoles, and mobile devices. It features full-sized 100mm ear cushions for a comfortable fit and 30dB of noise isolation. The Echelon Forest gaming headset expands on the Echelon series' line-up of camouflage-liveried gaming peripherals for FPS gamers and military fans.
Versatile, cross-platform compatibility
The Echelon Forest gaming headset provides exceptional versatility and is compatible with PCs, Macs, PlayStation 4, and mobile devices. It features a gold-plated 3.5mm connector with a separate audio and mic splitter cable for use with PCs and Macs; with an extension lead giving users a total cable length of 2.5m for added flexibility. When paired with the PlayStation 4 gaming console or mobile devices, Echelon Forest utilizes a 3.5mm combined audio/microphone connector. The headset has a 1.3m cable length - ideal for use with smartphones or tablet devices.
Echelon Forest includes a matching camo-inspired carry bag for added protection when travelling or storing the headset when not in use.
Impactful and immersive audio
Echelon Forest features 50mm neodymium-magnet drivers that boost all in-game sounds for more impactful and immersive audio. It provides a wide sound stage that's optimized for gaming, so gamers feel the rumble of explosions, and gain a positional advantage when they hear every gunshot or enemy footsteps. In multiplayer action, gamers can give clear instructions to team mates thanks to a retractable unidirectional covered microphone that reduces wind sound and vocal plosives for enhanced voice pick-up. Echelon Forest is also ideal for all kinds of music genres and delivers impressive audio when watching movies or videos on a tablet.
Gamer-friendly ergonomics
Echelon Forest has been ergonomically designed for marathon gaming sessions and has been lab-tested to provide the optimum clamping force for a wide range of head sizes to ensure a comfortable fit. Full-size 100mm ear cushions provide a snug fit, giving users 30dB noise isolation for immersive, undisturbed audio.
Echelon Forest features a jungle camouflage livery and will soon be joined by Echelon Navy, a similar headset with naval-inspired digital camouflage.
AVAILABILITY & PRICING
Echelon Forest will be available from the end of November in the UK from Scan. Please contact your local ASUS representative for further information.
