SURREY, February 25th, 2003 - Infogrames Europe and Thrustmaster are pleased to announce that they have joined forces to take aim at the world of Xbox(tm) gaming with two exclusive new offerings for hours of adrenaline-filled excitement. Thrustmaster will launch its Beretta® 92FS light gun for Xbox to coincide with Infogrames' European release of The House of the Dead III(tm), the latest installment in Sega's blockbuster series and the first Xbox title to feature light gun support.

The Beretta® 92FS light gun is the only replica firearm compatible with all TV sets, including the latest 100Hz models, and was developed in close collaboration with The House of the Dead III team for optimal playability. These two explosive releases represent the beginning of a new era of mind-blowing Xbox shooter games and accessories, taking realism and accuracy to level far beyond anything that has been seen before.

"By joining forces we definitely will maximize the full potential of this product. Gamers and fans should now be able to experience the game as it should be played." Commented, Pascale Vermeerbergen Marketing Director, Infogrames Europe.

"To truly enjoy all the excitement and action in a game like The House of the Dead III, a quality light gun is an absolute must," explains Vincent Hiribarne, Product Development Manager at Thrustmaster. "Our close collaboration with developers WOW Entertainment, Sega and Infogrames has resulted in a controller that will exceed the expectations of even the most demanding gamers. Sega is distributing both the game and our gun in Japan, and we're very pleased to be working closely with Infogrames in the European market."

The House of the Dead III sees players dispatch hordes of undead with trusty gun in hand, blasting their way through challenging levels of exquisitely-rendered gore with unique time-sensitive gameplay. This third episode in the series takes place twenty years after the "Curien Mansion Incident": the mad scientist's inhuman experiments have continued - but with the doctor long dead, what tortured mind can be behind this gruesome spectacle? Has some despot exploited the doctor's research for his own twisted ends - or has a gate to Hades opened up in our world, spilling forth the unspeakable horror of dark rituals?

Thrustmaster's Beretta® 92FS light gun is the only exact replica of the world-famous weapon popularized in countless movies and video games over the years, under official license from Cybergun. The Beretta® 92FS is also unique in that it is compatible with newer 100Hz TV sets in addition to PAL 50Hz and NTSC 60Hz models, a unique feature in the gaming industry. Owners of 100Hz TV sets will be able to enjoy the best image quality available while making short work of their enemies! The Beretta 92FS is equipped with a trigger, start and back buttons, 2 digital buttons, plus a thumbstick for better control in games and menus and also features a reload button just under the handle for easy access. The BerettaÒ 92FS is compatible with all upcoming light gun shooter games for Xbox.

A festival of gore awaits you, so grab your Beretta and head into the depths of an apocalyptic nightmare the likes of which has never been seen before.

Availability
The House of the Dead III for the Xbox video game system will be available in Europe at the end of March 2003.

The Beretta 92FS light gun with an SRP of £39.99 inc VAT., will be available in European PAL standard countries at the time of The House of the Dead III's release.
