Las Vegas, 8 January 2019 – Sharp will take part in CES 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. To be held from 8th to 11th January 2019, CES is one of the world’s largest consumer electronics trade shows.
Sharp is announcing its partnership with Google in Europe at CES. A wide range of Sharp´s Smart TV lineup for 2019 will be equipped with Android TV for mass-market distribution. This includes Entry to Highend models within all price categories. Along with further collaborations with leading specialists in the fields of design (Pininfarina) and sound (Harman Kardon), this continues to position and re-establish Sharp as a premium TV brand.
Based on its business vision of “Changing the World with 8K and AIoT”, Sharp will equip its booth with four areas dedicated to 8K, AIoT, Home, and Business. Visitors will experience firsthand an “8K Ecosystem” built upon 8K equipment, devices, and solutions and “AIoT Solutions” driven by AIoT home appliances, robotics, sensors and other devices.
Sharp’s incorporation of its pioneering 8K technology into an 8K Ecosystem and “AIoT Solutions”, like the COCORO+ service (a range of smart home solutions), have so far focused on the Japanese market. Sharp is now expanding and accelerating this development on a global scale.
