Press Release
Charge your mobile, laptop or GPS system on the move with latest must-have gadget14 August - A solar powered backpack from Computer Supermarket is not only set to become this summer's essential item, but could well save lives into the bargain. The new backpack combines style and function in one lightweight package, from ensuring endless MP4 tunes on the ski slopes to powering vital GPS equipment for mountaineers.
Using a solar panel located on the rear of the pack, the smart bag harnesses the power of natural sunlight, storing it for whenever it's needed. The potential uses are virtually limitless including keeping mobiles charged during week-long music festivals to checking your emails on holiday.
Recognising that British summers aren't always the most reliable, the bag can also be charged off a standard wall socket or USB port. Whatever the source, the charge is then stored on an internal high capacity battery, ready to be used when needed.
"As both a practical backpack and portable power station for all your gadgets, our money's on this becoming the gadget of the season," says Computer Supermarket's Ian Bird. "With adjustable voltage output it will work on just about any piece of electrical equipment and you can forget about lugging around different adaptors for different countries as the sun's always up there."
