Wow! Stuff: September 2012: Predicted by Argos, Toys R Us, The Entertainer and Smyths Toys to be the must-have boys toy for Christmas 2012 , the wait is finally over and the new Combat Creatures Attacknids are about to hit the UK. After two years of research and 2 million hits on YouTube, excitement has been building about these awesome patent applied for battling robots.

Now there's a chance to get up close and personal with these foot tall award winning robots and join in the fun at the Combat Creatures Battle Arena which will be in top retailers stores across the UK.  Combat Creatures brand owners, Midlands based toy inventors Wow! Stuff, are inviting everyone to battle it out as Wow! Stuff search for the ultimate Combat Creatures Champion 2012. The battle arena will be available to battle on from the moment each store opens right up until it closes. There will be a battle commentator, live scoring and a leader board at the event. All scores will also be uploaded in real time to the Combat Creatures online leader board so you can see how you rank against all other players.

Strategy and nerve are essential

Try out your skills first in the Attacknids training pod before progressing to the ultimate test of your nerve - the Combat Creatures Battle Arena. Once inside the Combat Creatures Battle Arena it's a race against time to avoid icebergs and the onslaught of your opponent's weapons.  Hone your skills quickly and make sure your Attacknid out manoeuvres the opposition. Use the remote control to turn the head and make your battling robot walk in any direction. Tilt your weapon to fire the discs at different angles to gain an advantage over other players.

Disable your opponent to win maximum points

To gain maximum points in the battle you must hit your opponents Combat Armor with your Dissector Disc weapons. Hit all six Combat Armor zones and watch them fly off leaving your opponents Attacknid "wounded". The ultimate way to score points is to disable your opponents Battle Brain. Using the Bolt ‘N' Battle Dissector weapon, players must hit the Battle Brain three times, this results in your opponents Attacknid shutting down, leaving you the victor of the battle. It's a battle of nerve, skills and strategy to become the champion.

About Jaimie Mantzel

Jaimie Mantzel is an inventor who lives on mountain he owns in Vermont, in a four-story dome that he built with his bare hands, he cut the logs to build it with a band saw he also made himself. One of the floors is just a trampoline and this is where he comes up with all his inventions, no really this guy exists and he's awesome! If you don't believe it just go and check out his extensive video blog and see for yourselves.

Jaimie started building robots when he was just four years old when he found his first electric motor. He first came across the idea of making the ‘Attacknids' when his brother showed him a picture of a walking robot when he was thirteen and Jaimie thought, ‘you know what, I can make a real one of them!' Between this and now Jaimie made six different prototypes of his ‘spider tank' sending them to multiple toy companies always getting the same response -"Wow! That's really cool, but we don't really know what to do with it."

During this process Jaimie also started his side project, The Giant Robot Project. He thought ‘hey if I can make a small one of these why can't I make a giant one! That I can ride in and control!' So that's what he started to do. That was six years ago and thousands of people have followed his progress with the project via his YouTube channel, and now that robot is in its final stages, currently standing 12 feet high!

In the meantime when all these toy companies were saying that they didn't want to work with the small robot, Wow! Stuff saw its potential.  They saw Jaime's videos on his YouTube channel and thought that this toy was the exact kind of thing they were looking for, something unique and innovative just like the company itself.  Wow! Stuff got in touch with Jaimie and started developing the project, which brings us to where we are today!
