PRESS RELEASE
SwannOne now works with a range of other products to integrate together and enable customisation to enhance users’ lives
UK – 24th November 2015 – Swann, a global leader in DIY security monitoring, today announces SwannOne’s integration with a number of brands to help create more meaningful connections between different parts of peoples' lives. SwannOne, which enables home automation and an easy way to secure and monitor homes or businesses via one simple app, is now compatible with Nest Thermostat, Philips Hue and Yale Locks. Making lives simpler, easier and more secure, users of SwannOne can seamlessly integrate with these brands to adjust the heating before they get home, set lights to come on, check in on pets or even let a courier in temporarily.
The SwannOne smart hub uses a range of standardised protocols including Zigbee HA 1.2, Zwave and Wifi to communicate with the below products:
Nest Thermostat
SwannOne seamlessly integrates with Nest enabling users to access the Nest Thermostat via the SwannOne app. Specific rules and schedules can be created in conjunction with the SwannOne system to ensure the heating in a home is just as the user requires, for example, it can be set to come on just before a user returns from a day at work.
Philips Hue Lighting
Integrated with SwannOne, users can access and control their Philips Hue lighting from the SwannOne app. Schedules can easily be created for lighting to be turned on and off as the user wishes and rules can also be set-up triggering actions from other SwannOne devices. For example, if motion is detected in a certain room, a light can automatically come on. Colour and brightness can be altered from the comfort of a sofa with the mood changing at just the touch of a button on the app.
Yale Locks
Putting a stop to lost keys and being locked out of the home, SwannOne integrates with one of the most respected names in the industry, Yale Locks. Making day to day access effortless, users of SwannOne can set codes from their smartphone to temporarily let people in for a limited amount of time, such as visitors or couriers. With SwannOne indoor cameras, users can also keep an eye on anyone that is given access to ensure ultimate safety.
Nicole Tyquin, Marketing Communications Manager for Connected Home at Swann, commented “SwannOne endeavours to enable users to access their home from just one single app. We've built an open platform that lets other devices connect with SwannOne to improve the lives of our customers. We have partnered with a number of brands such as Nest, Phillips Hue and Yale to broaden the functionality of the SwannOne Smart Home and integrate with devices our customers already have in their home.”
