PRESS RELEASE
Whether you're looking forward to watching football in Brazil, tennis in SW19, or cycling from Yorkshire to the Champs Elysees, 2014 offers another great summer of sport. And thanks to ground-breaking new TV technology from Sharp, you can get closer to the action than ever before, without even leaving your sofa.
Quattron Pro, detail beyond Full HD: an exclusive Sharp technology
Unveiled at CES in January, Quattron Pro (UQ10 series) is the second generation of Sharp's unique Quattron four colour pixel technology, which adds an extra yellow pixel to RGB. It can display images at 2.5 times the resolution of Full HD, thanks to the Quattron Pro panel, which has 2.5 times as many sub-pixels as a normal HD screen.
The Quattron Pro's configuration of sub-pixels means that the UQ10 range offers the only Full HD TV on the market that can play native 4K content through HDMI.
UQ10 series TVs burst with brightness and over a billion shades of true-to-life colour, particularly noticeable in the reproduction of gold and yellow, green and blue, and brown tones. Colours appear even brighter and more natural, making sport a truly immersive experience. The UQ10 range with Quattron Pro is available in three different sizes; 60", 70" and 80". Recommended retail price: £2,100 (60"), £3,200 (70") & £6,300 (80"), all prices including VAT.
Stylishly designed and playfully connected: the LE760 Series
With elegant design, TVs in the LE760 Series feature a super narrow bezel, for a truly immersive viewing experience that's ideal for any living space. The LE760 Series offers incredible Sharp picture quality and smart connectivity (Sharp's AQUOS NET+ portal and Sharp Smart Remote). Four pairs of 3D glasses are included to provide a true cinematic experience for the whole family. The LE760 Series is currently available in 2 different sizes, 42" and 50".
The World's largest Full HD LED TV: Sharp 90'' / 2.29m
The LC-90LE757 uses the latest image technology from Sharp to give you the best possible viewing experience, no matter what sport you're watching. Its picture quality is as stunning as its size, displaying crisp and clear content.
With a high-quality TV signal such as from HD television or with Blu-ray discs, a large viewing distance is no longer necessary - 3.5 metres for a 90″ (229cm) LED TV is quite sufficient for Europe's largest TV experience.
For sports fans and film buffs looking for the best action, the TV features incredibly defined moving images thanks to Sharp's Active Motion 200Hz technology and full HD active 3DTV. The LC-90LE757 is available now. Recommended retail price: £12,000
