PRESS RELEASE

Stunning high definition picture and sound quality plus APP based flexibility are the hallmarks of the new Philips product range on show at IFA 2013.

There's also the chance to create your own sound thanks to a new collaboration between Philips and globally-renowned DJ Armin van Buuren.

Industry innovator and five-time winner of DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs poll, Armin is working with Philips to develop audio products for both DJs and music fans. The first result of the collaboration is the M1X-DJ sound system, an app based DJ mixing system which allows you to mix, create, play and share the music you love.

IFA also sees the launch of two new Philips TVs including the company's first 4K UHD set the Philips 65PFL9708. The clear, sharp and brilliant Ultra HD picture quality of the Philips 9000 series builds on the combination of a top-end panel featuring more than eight million pixels (4K), plus the most powerful processing of the Ultra Pixel HD Engine. Upscaled images look simply brilliant while the very attractive price point make this Philips UHD TV an excellent choice for many consumers.

The second new model is Philips' Elevation the company's slimmest ever set at just 13.5mm thick - Elevation is also the first to feature Philips new four-sided, immersive Ambilight technology. However, it doesn't stop there - thanks to Philips Hue and the Ambilight+hue app, Ambilight can now reach to all four corners of the living room - all directly linked to the colour of the images on-screen..

Fabulous pictures demand epic sound. Continuing with the clever Surround on Demand idea of detachable and rechargable rear speakers first found on the HTL9100 Fidelio sound bar, Philips new stylish E-Series speaker system, is the ideal home cinema audio solution for consumers who want high-definition surround sound without the bulk or wires. These sleek speakers, feature a unique design that allows the top to detach to create four independent wireless speakers for a full surround sound experience.

The What Hi-Fi award winning Philips Fidelio M1 headphones are now available with Bluetooth in the form of the new Fidelio M1BT. Combining wireless listening freedom with the sound quality of the Fidelio brand, the M1BT is natural fit for those who have a passion for sound and music. Unlike other Bluetooth headphones, the M1BT utilizes the latest Bluetooth 4.0 standard along with APT-X (Android), AAC (Apple) and SBC for the superior music streaming.

Another highly acclaimed pair of Philips headphones gets an upgrade at IFA with the Fidelio L2 replacing the class leading Fidelio L1.
