Las Vegas, 7th January 2013: Pure is previewing two new members of its Jongo multiroom audio family at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas (South Hall Upper Level, Booth 36254).
Pure is adding Jongo T640B, a powerful, wireless stereo speaker, and Jongo A140B, a wireless hi-fi adapter to its Jongo multiroom music system. Both new products, which will be available in the first half of 2013, will sit alongside the Jongo S340B portable wireless speaker.
The world's first family of affordable multiroom audio products, the Pure Jongo system allows the user to start with a single speaker and add more Jongo products for perfectly synchronised audio all around their home.
Costing just £249.99, Jongo T640B comes with built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and packs 100 Watts of room-filling, stereo sound. Ideal as the main audio system in a large living room, Jongo T640B delivers rich, detailed and expansive audio using two custom designed, five inch full-range drive units with dual-concentric tweeters. An optional stand is available to position the speaker in a landscape or portrait orientation to suit any environment and there is also a bracket accessory kit that can be used to mount the speaker on the wall.
Pure's new Jongo A140B wireless hi-fi adapter costs just £99.99 and allows users to transform any audio system, from a simple micro to a high-end hi-fi, into a music streamer and bring it into their multiroom system. Like all Jongo family products, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are integrated, and Jongo A140B comes with a high-quality 24-bit DAC (digital to analogue converter), optical and coaxial digital and dual phono analogue audio outputs.
The Jongo system offers users the choice to stream audio content via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Bluetooth allows users to stream content from any audio app on their smartphone or tablet, including locally stored music, to a single Jongo product. Using Wi-Fi along with the free Pure Connect app, users can get the additional benefit of listening to multiple, tightly synchronised Jongo products in a single room or in a multiroom environment. The new Pure Connect app gives users access to local music on their smartphone or tablet, thousands of radio stations, on-demand programmes and podcasts, as well as millions of music tracks via the Pure Music subscription service*. Users can simply add extra Jongo speakers or adapters on the same Wi-Fi network to build their multiroom system.
In addition, compatible Pure products such as Sensia 200D Connect and One Flow can seamlessly synchronise with members of the Jongo family and can even be used to control the system for a truly class leading multispeaker and multiroom experience.
All Jongo products come in black, or white with black speaker grilles, and all have optional user-fit coloured grille packs or clip on covers in burnt orange, lime green, mango or white (from £12.99). The Pure Jongo T640B (SRP £249.99) and the Jongo A140B (SRP £99.99) will be available in the first half of 2013 from all good electrical retailers. The Jongo S340B portable wireless speaker (SRP £149.99) is available now.
