Pinnacle Provides Easy and Affordable TV Entertainment on the PC with a New Generation of Pinnacle TVCenter Software
Pinnacle Systems, Inc. has announced the release of Pinnacle TVCenter, the software that powers its entry-level PCTV internal and external range of products. Amongst other features, Pinnacle TVCenter allows the user to access Internet radio stations, to leverage the benefit of a Teletext database to provide instant access to all pages and sub pages, and to programme the computer to shut itself off after recording.
Additionally, Pinnacle TVCenter benefits users with time shifting technology with both TV and radio programmes. The user controls live TV, fast-forwards past commercials or instantly replays a scene, and can do the same kind of operations with digital and FM radio.
Pinnacle PCTV products now add DivX live TV capture. This allows the user to record directly from analogue or digital TV into DivX video format to maintain high quality and save up to 10 times more content on the same disc space than MPEG-2. Additionally, TV can be captured in MPEG-1 format.
Pinnacle TVCenter is now available with the following products within the PCTV product family:
PCTV 60e
A sleek design and tiny form factor make PCTV 60e optimal for enjoying digital terrestrial TV (DVB-T) on any PC in the home. Compatible with both USB-1 and USB-2 this product is powered by the USB port, requiring no external power supply. PCTV 60e comes with a small, passive antenna for use when a roof aerial is not available. Listen to and capture digital radio in regions where this is broadcast.
PCTV 40i, PCTV 50i
Internal PCI cards, PCTV 40i (without remote) and PCTV 50i (with remote) deliver top-quality reception for analogue TV and FM radio, also supporting stereo and multi-channel TV sound. Functionality also includes the ability to listen to and record radio to a hard drive and Timeshifting capabilities.
PCTV 50e
Ideal for the mobile user, Pinnacle PCTV 50e is an external configuration that is small, ultra-portable and plugs into a USB 2.0 port. Powered by the USB port on the PC, no extra power cable is necessary. PCTV 50e captures analogue television from aerial or cable connection.

These entry-level PCTV solutions carry VAT-inclusive SRPs that ranges from £29.99 to £59.99 throughout the UK and are currently available through the Pinnacle Website at http://www.pinnaclesys.com and at most major online and high street retailers.
Pinnacle offers an upgrade pack to Pinnacle MediaCenter for £12.99 inc VAT on the Pinnacle E-store.
Pinnacle MediaCenter software ships with premium PCTV products that transforms the PC into a veritable TV, PVR and Entertainment centre adding great features such as: Direct-to-DVD TV capture, a free, integrated EPG, MPEG-2 TV Capture, CD and DVD burning and more.
The upgrades are unlockable through Pinnacle TVCenter software and can alternatively be purchased together on a CD. The CD version includes Pinnacle Studio QuickStart.
