Rome, Italy, 6th April 2011 – Toshiba UK today announces the launch of the Camileo P100 and Camileo B10 – two new, full high definition (HD) camcorders combining style, ease-ofuse and excellent all round performance.
Designed to be taken anywhere, both new Camileo models are ideal for easily capturing and sharing memories in pin sharp quality. Perfect for holidays, birthday parties or evenings out, both models offer fast, instant operation with point and shoot simplicity. Differing designs also offer users the ability to pick the form factor that suits them – the Camileo P100 features a ‘pistol-grip’ design, while the Camileo B10 provides a ‘candybar’ design ideal for casual shooting.
Sharing videos with friends and family couldn’t be easier thanks to Toshiba’s Camileo Upload Button. With one touch, users can upload videos to a range of social networks including YouTube™, Facebook, Picasa™ and Twitvid – making it easy to share footage immediately after it is shot.
A new Pause button featured on the Camileo P100 means users can instantly join two different scenes together to create one clip, instead of having to film two separate clips. Users simply hit the pause button whenever they want to halt the current recording and then continue whenever they choose, all within the same clip.
Slim, smart, and sharp – the new Camileo P100
With a slim, sleek body, the Camileo P100 provides the perfect blend of form and function. Equipped with an advanced optical zoom, the Camileo P100 can capture long distance action in high definition quality, with images and action remaining sharp and vibrant. The 5x optical zoom captures action in impressive Full HD 1080p resolution, while the 8x advanced optical zoom shoots videos in 720p high definition resolution. An 8MP CMOS sensor also delivers high quality footage and up to 16MP still photos.
The pocket-friendly pistol grip design ensures comfort during shooting, and the 7.6cm (3’’) touchscreen LCD is home to a highly intuitive, user-friendly interface, giving users complete control over user settings and functionality.
Quick, fun, and easy – the new Camileo B10
The Camileo B10 is the perfect take anywhere camcorder, ensuring users never have to miss the chance to capture a memorable moment. The stylish ‘candybar’ design is slim and light enough to be taken everywhere, and quick access buttons make it easy to simple point and shoot instantly. The Camileo B10 also doubles as a webcam when connected to a laptop via USB, providing an easy way to enjoy high quality face-to-face chats with long distance friends and family.
An impressive 16x digital zoom means users will never miss a moment and can capture even long distance action. Full HD videos and 5MP stills can all be viewed on the 5.1cm (2’’) LCD screen, while motion detection and face recognition technologies make it easy to capture everything from fast moving action to group videos.
Clever connectivity
A range of impressive features makes it easy to share videos in a number of ways. SDHC card compatibility up to 64GB provides the flexibility to shoot multiple videos, swap memory cards and easily transfer videos between devices. Each model features a USB input, and an HDMI interface is ideal for connecting to high definition TVs for big screen playback.
