CREATIVE INTRODUCES SOUND BLASTER AUDIGY LS

A Powerful Audio Upgrade For Desktop Users Seeking Quality & Value

Creative (Nasdaq: CREAF) the worldwide leader in digital entertainment products for the personal computer and the Internet, today announces the Sound Blaster Audigy(tm) LS internal sound card. Available from October and costing Ā£59.99inc VAT, the Audigy LS is compatible with both digital and analogue speaker systems and delivers high fidelity 24-bit/96kHz recording and playback at up to 100dB SNR.

"This card addresses the audio quality issue that faces many PC buyers," explains Darragh O'Toole, European brand manager for audio with Creative. "Many systems are sold with generic audio that's built to a price. They don't give good results and disappoint the user who wants to enjoy music and games. The Sound Blaster Audigy LS delivers a great-value alternative that's built around our Audigy processor to ensure really impressive performance."

In addition to providing 5.1 surround sound, the Sound Blaster Audigy LS supports Dolby Digital and EAX Advanced HD (EAX 3.0) to ensure high-quality immersive impact in gaming and movies, as well as outstanding results with MP3 and CD content. It comes with CMSS, the utility that enables the user to up-mix stereo content to 5.1 surround sound and Creative MediaSource, the comprehensive program that makes it easy for users to rip MP3 tracks, create and manage their music library and burn their own CDs.

"This is the ideal card for desktop PC users seeking an excellent value upgrade and performance boost to 5.1 surround in music, games and movies," he adds. "It offers realistic and immersive 3D positional audio, while the purity and clarity of its output confirm it as a superior solution for the user in search of a real improvement in PC sound."
