CREATIVE
LARGES IT WITH THE MINISTRY
Creative (Nasdaq: CREAF), the
world-wide leader in digital entertainment products for the personal computer
and the Internet, have teamed up with the world famous Ministry of Sound to
offer a unique opportunity to bid online with QXL.com, for a specially designed
Creative 20GB DAP Jukebox; one of only 4 available in the world.
Partnering
with QXL.com, the UK’s premier online auctioneer, this auction is an exclusive
opportunity for UK fans to bid for a fantastic collector’s item, which
combines the vast majority of Ministry of Sound’s many albums, with the
powerful digital audio mastery of Creative’s award winning DAP Jukebox.
The
auction will take place from 3rd December 2001 for two weeks, closing
on the 17th December. To
take part in the auction, you can either go direct to www.QXL.com/creative,
or simply visit www.europe.creative.com
and click on the charity auction link for full details.
The bidding starts at £1 and ALL proceeds will go to the designated
charity Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy who use
the power of music to bring hope
and healing into the lives of disabled and traumatised children and adults.
This limited edition 20GB
Jukebox is a recent addition to Creative’s product range, and is a taste of
things to come from the new range of digital audio players that will be
available in the first half of 2002. The
special edition Jukebox has been airbrushed with a design based on
the recent Ministry of Sound Chill Out
Sessions album cover, which depicts a set of
mixing decks encased in a block of ice.
Perfect for a loved ones’
Christmas present or bought simply as a collector’s item, this limited edition
Jukebox is stocked to the brim with the crème de la crème of Ministry of
Sound’s albums including classics from the
early nineties, right through to the latest and
greatest albums mixed by many of the worlds greatest dance music DJ’s.
The content covers unforgettable albums such as Ministry
of Sound Annuals, The Ibiza Chill Out
Sessions, Renaissance, Real Garage and The Future
Sound of the UK. All these
contribute to a personal audio player already brimming with music for all
tastes; dance, hip hop, trance and
hard house.
As the Jukebox is capable of holding so many tracks, the lucky bidder
will even have enough room to store over 10GB of their own music, which amounts
to a colossal 300 hours or over 200 CD’s.
The Creative DAP Jukebox is
a revolutionary digital audio player that is capable of holding up to 150 or 500
CDs worth of music, depending on the version bought.
Its lightweight (400 grams) design matches the size of a portable CD
player and it can store high quality music in MP3, WMA
and other digital formats.
John
Moseley, marketing manager, Creative Labs (UK) Limited says, “By working with
Ministry of Sound we are able to provide a rare opportunity for music fans to
get their hands on a real collectors item with a massive array of music spanning
the last decade. Ministry of Sound
and everything it stands for, has often been looked upon as the arbiter of
modern music, and we hope this will increase the value, to
enable us to benefit a charity as important as Nordoff Robbins.”
Mark
Rodol, Director of Ministry of Sound says, “The Ministry of Sound albums chart
the changes in the dance music scene since we launched them in 1993.
It’s great we can now give our clubbers the opportunity to bid to take
these much loved tunes with them wherever they go on the special edition
Creative Jukebox. And because
it’s a Creative product it goes without saying that the sound quality is
awesome!”
