FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CREATIVE'S INSPIRE 5.1 DIGITAL 5700 SPEAKER SYSTEM ARE PRECISION-BUILT FOR

HOME ENTERTAINMENT AND GAMING

Stunning 5.1-channel Dolby Digital and DTS sound for home entertainment,

games and music, with digital and analogue connectivity plus dual-chamber

SLAM subwoofer technology

Creative (Nasdaq: CREAF), the worldwide leader in digital entertainment

products for the personal computer and the Internet, announces the launch of

the Inspire 5.1 Digital 5700 speaker system.  Designed to deliver the
finest

5.1-channel Dolby Digital and DTS audio experience, the new speaker system

will be priced at £299 inc. VAT and will be available from the beginning of

December 2001.

The Inspire 5.1 Digital 5700 speaker system consists of a decoder/amplifier

which also acts as a master control unit; a powerful 30 Watt (RMS) Creative

SLAM (Symmetrically Loaded Acoustic Module) reinforced dual-chamber

subwoofer; 21 Watt (RMS) centre channel, four surround satellites, each of 7

Watts (RMS) and a wireless remote control.  It is compatible with

24bit/96kHz devices and connectivity includes optical, coaxial, analogue

stereo and digital DIN.

"This remarkable new system is more than a high-end speaker set,"
comments

Leonardo Colucci, European brand manager for Speakers with Creative Labs

Europe. "With its digital performance and full compatibility with any Sound

Blaster® Audigy(tm) or Live(tm) 5.1 series sound card, it's the perfect

complement to a PC although its unique connectivity and high-end design make

it just as effective a partner for DVD players, gaming consoles and other

digital devices.

"That's why we think it will be a sure-fire hit with home entertainment

lovers and audio enthusiasts, as well as serious gamers," he adds.

The Inspire 5.1 Digital 5700 offers exceptional acoustic qualities. The

innovative SLAM subwoofer gives a taut, focused bass that adds real richness

and depth to the audio experience.  The unique, shaped centre speaker, and

the contoured detailing on the satellite speakers, work together to make

sound staging supremely realistic and penetrating, for optimum sound

imaging.

Creative has also paid careful attention to usability and aesthetics. The

wireless remote control enables users to select input source as well as

balance, volume and DSP mode. The selection of options, available direct

from Creative via its web site, includes floor stands, coloured grilles for

the satellites and subwoofer, and stands for the decoder that enable it to

be used vertically instead or horizontally. As a result, the user can

'design' the system to complement almost any décor and room layout.

"This system offers a perfect solution to all home requirements, capable of

taking-on high-performance sources and delivering hi-fi output.  For users

thinking beyond the desktop, we think it is the perfect match," concludes

Leonardo Colucci.
