Bigger, brighter projection from Sharp in 2008

10 January 2007, London - Sharp Electronics (UK) Ltd has launched a new digital projector. The PG-F320W WXGA data projector supports the latest trend in using wide screen notebook laptops so images are projected to their full potential on screen.

The PG-F320W offers Brilliant Color ä - the very latest in digital DLP technology for accurate colour reproduction and a DVI-I (with HDCP) connection for digital equipment so that full digital image quality can be produced.

Wide screen capability

Shane Timmons, Sharp UK product manager commercial AV, said: “The growing popularity of wide screen laptops has seen increased demand for projectors that can match the same image quality. Mismatches in resolution between the laptop and projector can mean that the projected image may be distorted or even not shown at all. In much the same way as PC resolutions advanced from SVGA to XGA, so too has our projector technology. The PG-F320W displays a wide image resolution of WXGA 1280x800 without compression.”

Wide screen video content can also be displayed without the cropping normally associated with 4:3 projectors and screens.

The brighter environment

Brighter environments and larger screen sizes demand brighter projectors. The PG-F320W offers an extra high brightness (3000 ANSI Lumen) that is perfect for light rooms requiring bigger brighter image projection.

Brilliant Color ä improves the brightness up to 50% over traditional three colour solutions in UHP lamps – giving the viewer a truly life-like experience on screen.
