And then there were four

Once more AMD has looked to HP's senior ranks to fill gaps in its EMEA leadership, appointing Linh Bergen-Peters to the role of EMEA marketing director.

The role was made available when AMD got rid of incumbent Jochen Polster back in April, in what was probably the last act in a wholesale clear-out of its EMEA executive team.

The purge was initiated when Emilio Ghilardi was poached from HP to head up EMEA, in preference to incumbent Alberto Macchi, in the middle of last year. Ghilardi was soon promoted to chief sales officer and Alberto Bozzo snatched from the HP ranks to take over as EMEA boss.

Inspired by Ghilardi's resourcefulness, Bozzo soon plucked Sergio Ceresa from HP to head up EMEA retail sales. He then presumably reminded AMD's head-hunters that there is executive talent outside of Italy, although not, apparently, outside HP, and they promptly signed-up Bergen-Peters, who left HP at the end of last year and had been working as a freelance marketing consultant.

According to AMD, Bergen-Peters reports to Bozzo and oversees all corporate and product marketing activities as well as communication efforts throughout the EMEA region. She leads the development and implementation of AMD's regional marketing, image and campaign strategies, directing a pan-EMEA team.

HEXUS.channel wishes her luck in her challenging new role.
