What do points make?
Logitech started an incentive scheme in the last quarter of 2008 in which distributors and resellers who sold Logitech products were entered into a draw for a top prize of a Mini Cooper. It looks like the promotion was a success because Logitech is repeating it this quarter.
UK and Ireland distribution account manager Gary read spoke to HEXUS.channel to reveal the details of this sales promotion to any members of the channel not already aware of it.
- Any Logitech order placed through Ingram, C2000, Gem, Enta or VIP generates one unique code per day
- At the start of each week there's a draw from those order codes and winners are directed to a microsite containing their lucky pin code
- Cash prizes range from a fiver to a grand

"With the continued netbook/notebook growth expected in the market, our partners and customers should always remember the attach opportunities we offer," said Read. "From keyboards, mice to webcams, speakers, headsets and our exciting G series range for gamers on the way, we have good, better and best products to suit all users."
The winner of the Q4 promotion was Brian Oates of distributor Ingram Micro, who won a Mini Cooper. The photo below is Oates (left) being given his prize by Read.
"The sales environment is tough at the moment, but there are significant opportunities out there, with the right product," said Oates. "The Mini is fantastic, but sadly I'm handing the keys on to my girlfriend who needs a new car."
