The reshuffle continues
AMD has confirmed that Emilio Ghilardi has been appointed to the role of senior VP and general manager of AMD EMEA.
How this affects the role of current AMD’s current top EMEA exec – Alberto Macchi, whose job title is corporate VP sales and marketing EMEA – is not yet clear, but the titles seem to imply that Ghilardi will be senior to Macchi.
AMD’s PR told us: “Emilio Ghilardi doesn’t start until mid August so roles are still being defined.”
Ghilardi had been an HP lifer, having worked in marketing for its commercial desktops and most recently being VP and GM of the Consumer Business, Imaging and Printing Group, EMEA.
