An elf of a card
Component distributor VIP Computer Centre has been quick to offer up a Radeon HD 3870X2 graphics card, the first to build two GPUs on to one card and currently acknowledged as the performance leader.
The card is in fact an ASUS one, running at the standard clock of 825MHz. The 1GB or DDR3 memory is also standard but it does come bundled with the very popular Company of Heroes – Opposing Fronts and, best of all, a graphic of some elven totty on the card. (You sad, sad man – Ed)
Matt Parrish, product manager at VIP Computers, commented: “Demand for high-end graphics cards has never been stronger and this is making ASUS a key brand in the market as enthusiasts recognise the high quality and reliability of their products.”
Ben Berraondo, marketing manager at ASUS added: “Thanks to VIP we’re able to ensure ASUS are first to market with the latest graphics cards, letting gamers experience ultra-realism, giving photographers creative freedom and above all ensuring the best individual graphic solution is available to all.”
