Abingdon, 28th April 2009 – Kaspersky Lab has announced that it has doubled UK corporate sales quarter on quarter. Through an exciting combination of product innovation, an enhanced partner programme, growth in personnel and customer acquisition, the company is bucking the downward trend in the economy.
The continuing growth was achieved during the period between Q4 2008 to end of Q1 2009. “Our continued success can be attributed to an understanding that for organisations of all sizes, the security of their systems and data has never been more important,” explains Managing Director of UK & Ireland Operations at Kaspersky Lab, Malcolm Tuck. “We are bringing innovative and affordable solutions to market that make it viable for our customers to implement the security measures they need to keep them safe from the increasing threat of cybercrime in this difficult economic climate.”
The launch of its new ‘Green Team’ partner program in February 2009 has seen the number of new partners offering Kaspersky Lab products in the UK grow by 20%, joining Kaspersky’s existing reseller base and 130 OEM partners who utilise its proven software to add value to their own solutions. “We continue to profit with Kaspersky Lab’s solutions, as we have total confidence that we are delivering proven security products to our customers that offer the best in class performance and reliability,” states the Managing Director of Arc Technology Distribution Ltd, Stuart Reay, a long established partner of Kaspersky Lab.
A major new customer is Vue Cinemas that has recently consolidated its IT security under Kaspersky Lab. The company has invested in 2,000 licenses of Kasperskyâ Business Space Security (part of the Kasperskyâ Open Space Securityä suite) and 250 licenses of Kasperskyâ Hosted Security Services (KHSS).
IT Director at Vue Cinemas, Roland Jones explains: “We chose Kasperskyâ Business Space Security for its functional richness and the fact that it represents very good value for money. The solution provides us with a small footprint, enhanced ease-of-use and improved management for our remote users. We were so impressed we also decided to implement KHSS to bring all of our security under the care of one vendor.”
On stand G40 at Infosecurity Europe 2009 Kaspersky Lab will be demonstrating the solutions implemented by Vue Cinemas alongside its full range of endpoint protection, including Kasperskyâ Open Space Securityä, Kaspersky Mobile Security Enterprise Edition and its range of hosted security services.
