Texas Instruments demonstrates Windows Embedded Compact 7 board support package, unleashing full performance capabilities of ARM Cortex-A8 devices
BSP enables rich experience for low-power, portable devices, perfect for point-of-service, industrial and consumer user interfaces
TAIPEI (June 3, 2010) - Showcased in a product demonstration today at the Computex exhibition, Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN) featured Microsoft Windows Embedded Compact 7, the next generation of Microsoft's widely used Windows Embedded CE platform for hardware manufacturers of specialized devices Windows Embedded Compact 7 delivers a toolkit for hardware manufacturers and developers to bring high performing, reliable and differentiated specialized devices to market quicker with support for multi-core and the latest ARM®-based architecture, including TI's SitaraTM platform of ARM CortexTMA8 devices for point-of-service, industrial human machine interfaces (HMI) and consumer user interfaces.
