As the Internet grows ever more ubiquitous and they ways to access it multiply, new commercial opportunities are constantly being created.
As Ben Drury, CEO of digital media company 7digital explains, the creative industries have a uniquely double-edged relationship with this trend. While the opportunities to sell content have increased exponentially thanks to the Internet, so have the opportunities for people to acquire their products without paying for them.

We can already buy and download a piece of music impulsively, from our radio, as soon as we hear it. If you imagine that capability extended to all other consumer electronics devices, you get an idea of where this trend is headed, and the policing challenges that lie ahead.
