Chip maker AMD continues to reap the rewards of settling its legal dispute with eternal rival Intel out of court, in exchange for $1.25 billion in cash.

Last week AMD announced it was going to blow the lot on paying-off some of its debt mountain, and investors seem to have approved, sending its stock up a further 6.4 percent last week.

This made AMD one of the few gainers in a down week for tech stocks. The biggest faller was Dell, which announced some disappointing Q3 figures, but ARM and NVIDIA weren't too far behind.

Just as the ARM ecosystem is trying to build momentum around the next generation of mobile Internet devices ahead of some big launches in the new year, associated companies seem to be having a bit of a share-price wobble. Are investors starting to have some last-minute doubts?
