The rest
As you would expect, given the global economy's continuing agonies, hardly any of our list showed positive movement last week. The only exception is Apple, which was rewarded for decent quarterlies and perhaps led people to think they'd been running away from Apple stock prematurely.
Decent quarterly earnings don't seem to have helped Microsoft's share price much although, intriguingly, Yahoo's share price at least held its value in the face of a NASDAQ plunge of 8.5 percent. Perhaps investors think "the lady doth protest too much" when Microsoft insists it has no interest in Yahoo!
The only other company on our list to significantly resist the general downward trend was Ingram Micro after it beat analyst expectations with its quarterly earnings. Other than that everyone was dragged down by the general market smelliness.
These prices were taken at around 9am this morning, so the FTSE 100 price reflects it opening significantly down. The footsie closed at 3883.36 last week.
