Memory matters

Kingston is the biggest third-party memory manufacturer in the world, but the past couple of years have not been easy times to be in the memory market.

In our latest HEXUS.TalkingShop, EMEA sales director Bernd Dombrowsky reveals the secret of Kingston's success is its strong channel model and a reputation for reliability that borders on boring.

Despite its strong position in the memory market, Kingston is joining many other memory makers in diversifying its product offering and trying to increase its mainstream consumer appeal. One of the key growth areas appears to be SSDs (solid state drives) and we discuss the potential of that market.

We conclude back at the memory market and Dombrowsky gives us a fascinating insight into the turbulence experienced by memory makers over the past couple of years - much of it, it seems, of their own making.
