Almost all the performance of the flagship NH-D15 in a much smaller profile.

Noctua may well be a leader in CPU cooling, yet the Austrian manufacturer isn't resting on its laurels and is at Computex 2018 showing off what's in the pipeline for 2019 and beyond.

The centrepiece of the firm's display is the upcoming NH-U12, a fifth-generation model that uses seven heatpipes and dual NF-A12x25 120mm fans to deliver high-end performance in a reasonably compact package that shouldn't foul your system's memory or PCIe slots.

Building on the experience of the refreshed U12, Noctua's latest optimisations will be carried over to flagship coolers such as the NH-D15 at a later date, and the firm will also be branching out with an unexpected but logical desk fan. Noctua's Jakob Dellinger takes us on a tour of all that's new, including a few prototypes, in the video above.

You guys don't release much, but when you do… I'm glad there are still companies who release quality products out of passion. So many companies try to cut corners these days to increase margin on the back of consumer ignorance. These products breathe quality. Thank you.

+ 1 this
everything they touch is utter classs, isn't it :)?

i want that desk fan.
and that entire presentation is made with depth of knowledge, love of the product and brand, and certainty.
Dude knows his fluid dynamics, for sure.
Isn't that airflow acceleration more due to viscosity than pressure? The pumpjet approach to moving air is nice, I'd like to see that used more on fans
