Differences should be more marked as we're comparing an Athlon 64 Model 3200+ / Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB card against an FX-51 / Radeon 9800 XT 256MB. >1500 marks isn't a huge gap, and it goes without saying that the Zalman makes for a high-end gaming system, too. I'm not entirely sure why its so comparatively bad in Comanche 4. I'd expect an average benchmark figure in excess of 65FPS.
The bot test, however, is all about subsystem grunt, something the AMD's Athlon 64 CPUs are rather good at. A Pentium 4 (Northwood) 3.4GHz CPU and Canterwood motherboard, if run with an ATI 9800 XT and low-latency RAM, barely hit 165FPS.
