Multi-threaded focus
Cinebench, like most professional 3D renderers, benefits significantly from multiple processor cores. SCAN pulled very slightly ahead of the QX in this test, but not by any significant margin. The dual-core MESH system is left far behind, though.
The story is the same for video encoding, with the SCAN and QX absolutely neck and neck, but the dual-core PC a distant spot in the rear-view mirror.
Our WAV encoding test gets no benefit from having four cores at its disposal. Since all three PCs in this comparison run at the same 2.67GHz clock, their scores are virtually identical.
