Memory and single-threaded app. evaluation
There's very little between the three systems in terms of memory bandwidth. The MESH QX's slightly faster and more aggressively timed memory gives it a marginal edge over the SCAN of only 1.4 per cent.
Similarly, the QX is slightly less memory latent than the SCAN, but its Core 2 Duo sibling is using virtually the same memory configuration so offers almost identical performance.
Our single-threaded Pifast benchmark shows there's nothing to separate the MESH QX and SCAN systems, but the MESH Fire X1950's result appears to be slow for a 2.67GHz-clocked Core 2 Duo.
