Multi-threaded performance - media encoding

MESH's system encodes ~700MB of audio in two-thirds of the time taken by the two comparison systems, both featuring AMD Athlon 64 FX-62.

It's a very similar story for video-encoding. Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 lords it over FX-62 again.

Multi-threaded performance - professional software

The performance advantage in KribiBench is not so large, but the Elite Extreme remains the fastest on test.

The MESH Elite Extreme SLI is a little under 20% quicker in our final multi-threaded benchmark.

So, the Core 2 Extreme X6800-powered system has comfortably won all the CPU-heavy benchmarks thus far, which isn't surprising if you've understand Core 2's architectural underpinnings.
