Benchmarks: Temperature
A Corsair Hydro Series H80i has no problem cooling an idle Core i7-3770K processor, but what happens when said chip is put under maximum load at 4.6GHz?
Following a 10-minute stint of the Prime95 stress test, we recorded a CPU temperature of 81ºC. The reading isn't the most impressive, but it isn't a bad return for a Core i7-3770K running at 4.6GHz in such a small chassis.
If you've read our review of the GeForce GTX Titan you'll know that Nvidia's GPU aims for a temperature target of 80ºC, so it's no surprise to see our in-game reading land close to the mark.
