WinRAR is pretty well multi-threaded and the result is indicative of this. The Scan 3XS X58 Core i7 is faster by a whopping 47 per cent, but the clockspeed advantage is less than 5 per cent over the overclocked Core 2-based Chillblast system.
Like several of the other benchmarks, our USB testing has been revised and as such there are currently no comparison numbers.
On the Scan system tested here however, it took 549 seconds to transfer all the files which taking into account the volume of data transferred works out to a respectable 31.8MB/sec.
