We appreciate PCMark 7 because while the previous tests highlight the minute differences between drives and controllers, this benchmark reiterates a common truth; a fast SSD is a fast SSD.
For the average consumer, the controller at the heart of the drive is of little relevance, and the same could be said of the accompanying NAND. What matters is real-world performance, and in that sense both the Neutron and Neutron GTX feel every bit as quick as the various high-performance competitors.
