It isn't all plain sailing, though, as the Neutron drives seem to struggle in our gruelling Iometer test. This benchmark can be configured in many different ways, but our unique test challenges each drive with random 4KB transfers, with reads and writes set at 50 per cent apiece and queue depth at 32. This is about as demanding as it gets and while not illustrative of real-world use, it shows each drive in a worst-case scenario.
