G.Skill's Phoenix Pro once again delivers impressive numbers, but the 40GB drive falls short of higher-capacity SandForce-based alternatives. The drive's sub-optimal write performance is becoming a common trend, and, rather unusually, putting two 40GB Phoenix Pros together in RAID 0 does little to improve the overall write score in this benchmark.
