Low-load efficiency
Yet the same high-performance PCs spend most of their time idling, pulling 40-80W at the wall. This is why it is instructive to look at really low loads, to indirectly see how good the engineering really is.
The HX 1000, by dint of its lower capacity, looks good here because the 80 per cent load represents more of the power budget than on, say, a 1,200W supply.
A key takeaway is that efficiency never drops below 80 per cent at any point in time. Good stuff.
