The CPU-centric benchmarks are run with the best consumer chip available, the Core i7-6950X. We ensure the boards are running the Turbo bins correctly - far too often manufacturers indulge in some all-core overclocking. To Gigabyte's credit, the auto configuration doesn't play fast and loose with speeds.

Our benchmarks show it to be very marginally faster than the Asus board using the same chip and memory.
