The Gigabyte board is a little faster from the get-go. Both mainboards are set to Turbo Boost via Intel's specifications, though the Gigabyte runs at a higher frequency 3.7GHz vs. 3.6GHz - for this test.
And it's perhaps that reason, amongst others, that contributes to its excellent performance.
Rounding off a set of wins, the Z77-D3H remains ahead of the P8Z68-V PRO's numbers.
More bandwidth and lower latency usually combine to offer the better HEXUS.PiFast score. The Z77 is just under one second ahead.
