Peripheral performance
The ASUS board's two sets of results are within the standard deviation of the test. Gigabyte's USB 3.0 controller from Etron is a touch slower when writing, evaluated by using AS SSD's throughput benchmark.
Single-threaded performance isn't one of the FX's strong points. Even a 4.7GHz chip is easily outmuscled by default-clocked Phenom II X6 1100T.
