Sims 2

Love them or hate them, the Sims are here to stay, and remain as popular as ever. We'll be using FRAPS to test the performance of Sims 2 with the boards on show today, with all graphical options turned on.

Not a lot to choose between these cards here, as again we seem to be largely CPU-limited, with the extra driver load on the SLI-based board putting it a little behind the others. We also see another inexplicable dive in framerate from the 6800GT at 1600x1200.

The GeForce 6800GT has further issues with AA and AF enabled, finding itself on a par with the 6600GT at 1280x1024 and 1600x1200. No such worries for the 3D1 however, which pulls itself well clear of the pack at the higher resolutions.
