Xpand Rally

Next up is the rather nice looking driving game, Xpand Rally. To benchmark here, we've used a custom recorded replay and recorded the framerate during playback of said replay (which uses the exact same game engine as when you play, obviously) using FRAPS. All graphical settings were set to their highest level to crank up the eye-candy and give the boards a workout.

Without AA and AF, the two boards are closely matched, with the Ultra's higher clocks only giving it a small advantage over the GT.

Once the settings are dialled up by way of AA and AF being thrown into the mix, the superior fillrate and memory bandwidth of the A400 Ultra makes itself known, as it opens up a larger lead over the GT. Of course, what is an acceptable framerate for a title such as this is largely subjective, but the benchmark still appeared to run smoothly on both boards even at 1600x1200 here.
