Conclusion

...yet there's refinement behind this blockbuster of a GPU. The massive, elaborate heatsink ensures it remains cool and quiet at all times.

It's worth repeating that we've yet to come across a poor GeForce GTX 980 Ti partner implementation.

Each partner's card tends to be cool, fairly quiet and overclocked by a healthy degree, so the consumer's choice is based on brand loyalty, warranty terms, absolute performance and price.

Zotac prioritises performance with the GTX 980 Ti AMP! Extreme graphics card. Clocked in at 1,253MHz on the core, but routinely boosting to over 1,400MHz in real-world games, along with 7,220MHz for memory, this here behemoth is the fastest air-cooled GTX 980 Ti going. Yet there's refinement behind this blockbuster of a GPU. The massive, elaborate heatsink ensures it remains cool and quiet at all times.

If you have enough room to fit it into the chassis of your choice and can stomach the Ā£600 asking price, the Zotac GeForce GTX 980 Ti AMP! Extreme is the fastest single-GPU around.

Aside from the performance, the 5 year warranty is swaying me in favour of this card. However, I can't find too much information on the QUALITY of Zotac support. Does anyone have any insight that may be helpful? Thanks
WELL worth the price. I normally go for mid range decent cards (Asus mostly), but the overclocks for this make it worth the extra money - 20/30% at “stock”, even more when OC'ed, this is redonk
@JonRT
I've had two ZOTAC GTX 760 AMP's running in SLi since they came out and never had a problem with them. Also installed another SLi setup and a single one in other machines a few years back and they're fine too.

The 5 year warranty was what swayed me to them originally and when I find a way to afford one of these monsters I'll be getting one.
While I've never had need to contact their support I know they favour you going through the retailer for the warranty during the standard period. I can't recall how the extended warranty period works although it's easy to register.
Any chance you could take the cooler off so we can see the VRM/VRAM cooling plate? Looking at getting this for use with a Kraken G10 but want to make sure there will be sufficient cooling to the VRM!

AwesomeSauce on Youtube was trying to fully waterblock this card, but couldn't as he couldn't get the VRM/VRAM cooling plate off. You can get a decent look at it here: https://youtu.be/EdXycmVDwmY?t=629
