3DMark is the latest version of this hugely-popular synthetic benchmark. Making use of DX11 features such as tessellation, compute shaders and multi-threading, it provides modern-day results and is available as a free download.
There are half-a-dozen GTX 960s in our lineup and, technically speaking, Gigabyte's WindForce 2X should be fifth in the pecking order as a result of modest shipping frequencies. This isn't the case and perusing our log files reveals that the card is able to punch above its weight by boosting to 1,430MHz during the benchmark - that's 151MHz higher than what's written on the box.
