3DMark03

The theoretical nature of 3DMark03 gives us a great 3-way split between the top of the new generation, the mid-range of the new generation and the outgoing champion of the last generation. You'll rarely see a split like that in a game-based test, but it's nice to see. The ASUS is head and shoulders above the 9800 XT, giving you far more GPU power than was previously available. The 4 quad 6800 Ultra at 450MHz is comfortably ahead, as expected.

We're CPU limited at the initial setting and even at the median setting, with 6800 Ultra. While the ASUS X800 PRO can't quite keep up at the median or higher settings, it still completely outpaces the 9800 XT, giving the games player a big performance boost over the outgoing performance leader.
