As well as poor performance in this PS2.0 test, the Go5700 is also unable to produce an obviously correct image, due to lack of certain floating point buffer types and multiple render targets. It's one of the FX range's most obvious shortcomings.

In applications that wish to make use of HDR lighting techniques and that are happy to run them on GeForce FX, the user will have to suffer banding and other image quality problems with the HDR lighting effects.

MR9600, while not offering the last word in pure PS2.0 performance, can get the image correct with no problems.
