We can infer that ABIT's Radeon 9800 XT 256MB card will benchmark like anyone else's reference-like card. That puts it at around the GeForce FX 5950 Ultra levels. Tested at the highest setting, it seems as 3DMark2001SE does benefit from cards with 256MB of onboard RAM.

3DMark03 paints a very similar picture. Here, however, ABIT/ATI's 9800 XT (we might as well call them the same) just eclipses the FX 5950 Ultra. Again, 256MB of RAM is important once resolutions and image quality is raised.
