Review: GeForce FX5600 Ultra rev2

This benchmarks isn't very fair on midrange cards, especially when the image quality features are turned up. Even higher end cards have been known to quake in their boots as you double click on the Code Creatures icon.

Pretty similar, fancy that. Let's zip quickly over the other 2 graphs so we can get to the drop graph.

We'll concentrate on the PD graph since Code Creatures is a funny old test. It's very very shader heavy, using them for everything from the water effect, to the reflections, to the waving grass. Run the test to see what I mean. So it's a decent shader benchmark but not much else, it's rendering methods and texture usage don't really match up to real world gaming.

So you can see that during a shader heavy game, the FX5600 Ultra copes better when IQ features are turned on, but it's hardly real world. Our next test is however.
