Review: GeForce FX5600 Ultra rev2

Things get serious now (I couldn't help it) with our second OpenGL based benchmark of the day. While there's a Direct3D renderer available, we use plenty of other D3D based titles in our tests. IQ really helps make SS2 look good and it's good fun to benchmark (as far as fun doing benchmarks goes of course).

With no IQ on, 9600 Pro shows a bit of spunk. Will things stay the same with IQ features enabled, since that's what makes these cards so good?

With things looking yummy, NVIDIA gets busy again. Now with the resolution all the way up.

The gap closes up, the PD graph will be interesting.

The NVIDIA card manages to lose even less performance than the 9700 Pro when turning on IQ. Either I benchmarked wrongly or SS2 is kind to the FX. I nominate the second option.

Good performance from both at any rate, they stand up well to median resolution tests with IQ features on. Let's throw Code Creatures at them, just to be bad, before rounding things off with UT 2003.
